If you’re looking for a place to stay on a budget, try Airbnb.

I’ve used it a few times now and I love it! I’ve found some amazing and unique places to stay at very reasonable prices; from a houseboat and a secret garden hideaways to city centre apartments. There is places and budgets to suit everyone!

What’s great is you have the option of booking a whole property, a private room or you can opt for a shared room. Initially, I didn’t like the thought of booking a private room but when my partner and I struggled to find somewhere to stay for a friend’s wedding we had to look at getting a private room. It was that or a £180 a night stay at the local Manor House or a £90 a night Travelodge fifteen miles from the wedding venue.

Fortunately, we found a gorgeous annex room with its own private entrance, situated in a beautiful family home and just two miles from the wedding venue. It cost just £50 a night and I had a new customer credit on my account too; we paid just £70 for our two night stay! Everything about our stay was great; the hosts were so friendly, the Kim was immaculate and the hosts even gave us a lift to collect our car from the venue the day after the wedding! Airbnb hosts (from our experience) seem to offer a much more personal experience and I love it!

First time customers of Airbnb can get £30 credit to use on their first trip. All you need is a referral code (find mine below). Once you’re a member you can invite people using your own referral code, they get £30 to use on their first trip and once they book you get a £15 credit to use on a future booking. There are also money making opportunities if you have your own space to rent out!
