I absolutely love a deal, discount or a bit of money off a purchase so I’ve complied a list of my top referral offers!
Ad – This post contains referral links. You can click HERE to find out what that means.
The referrals below are all tried and tested ones that I have personally used and enjoyed. There are some I’ve used alongside other discounts to make extra savings. Others offer a little introductory bonus to apps and platforms that I still use regularly.
To ensure these referrals work out good value for you, I’ve added extra information and tips. Of course, it’s always important to remember these kind of offer are only worth using on purchases you were going to make anyway and always check they work out bets value for you.
I have put my referral links in the deal headings or you can find the codes needed in the picture captions.
- You get £10 off your first order
- I get £10 credit on my account
Bloom and a wild offer Fab flowers at a reasonable price. If you can double up the £10 off with a discount code or special offer then you’re quids in. I used Bloom and Wild a few times during 2020 when visiting family and friends was out of the question.
Of course places like Aldi offer great quality flowers on a budget and local florists likely offer great deals on bouquets too. This deal is handy and good value when you can’t hand deliver a gift yourself. All flowers come with a free card and free delivery too!
- You get £5 off £25 (sometimes boosted to £10 off)
- I get £5 credit on my account
If you’re looking for a nice birthday gift, new makeup or some premium hair care products at a discounted price, this could be for you. The refer a friend discount alongside other discount codes!
For example, I used the £5 along with a Windfall Wednesday deal from Vouchercodes and a 22% discount code to get two birthday gifts for under £30 plus a free £15 Just Eat gift card! It’s all about deal stacking to get the best value for money.
- You get 60% off your first box
- I get £20 credit on my account
This is my favourite meal prep box. You can choose a range of recipes and that get delivered to your door with all (or most) of the ingredients needed. I say most because you sometimes need to add a bit of oil, milk, flour and so on. With the discount it works out similar value to buying ingredients at the supermarket yourself but with the added convenience that they send the small, recipe size quantity that you need.
It’s a great way to shake up meal times and get some new recipe ideas but it is important to remember that it is a subscription. The best way to avoid being caught out by a full price box is to order your first week and then skip the next 2 or 3. Also set a reminder for the week that your box arrives, you can set it to remind you to amend or cancel your subscription.
- You get £20 off your first order
- I get £20 on my account
This is pretty much the same as the Gousto deal. It’s a meal prep box and it is a subscription that you would need to pause or cancel.
If the meal prices fro Gousto and Hello Fresh don’t work out as good value for your (even with discount) or you don’t like the idea of using a subscription, I created a similar style meal plan of 5 meals for a family of four for under £18. You can find that HERE.
- You get bonus points when signing up
- I get bonus points on my app
A simple one, we all love a Subway sandwich at some point so if you’re going to be having a cheeky six inch and you don’t currently have the Subway app, download it using my link and get some free bonus points. Don’t forget to do the receipt survey for a free cookie!
- You get four free recipe kits delivered for free
- I get four free recipe kits delivered for free
The meal kits come with the herbs, spices, sauces and pastes needed to make a tasty meal. Unlike Gousto and Hello Fresh, you do have to add the main ingredients.
Again this is a subscription so as soon as you order, set yourself a reminder to cancel. Even when your subscription is cancelled, you can refer your friends and family so they can claim a free box which gives you another free box the following month!
- You get £15 off £40+
- I get £15 credit on my account
This is a fairly new one that offers a variety of household items and groceries with £15 off your first order of £40+. It can be used for some great discounts when used on selected items but on the whole I don’t think it offers amazing value. I ordered a few items as gifts (alcohol and baby items) using the discount and they did work out cheaper than buying elsewhere.
Equally, if you use a certain branded laundry or cleaning products, the items on the site might work out great value for you though I personally use supermarket own ranges which are much cheaper. It’s just worth checking the discounted price works out cheaper than buying from the like of Home Bargains and B&M.
Quote Me Happy – car insurance
- You get a £50 Amazon gift card when taking out a policy
- I get a £50 gift card if/when I renew my policy
I’ve been with Quote Me Happy for the last three years because in 2019 they came up as the cheapest insurer for me at just £189 a year fully comp! Last year they were £1 cheaper and my renewal for this year has just come through at £168! Of course there’s the added bonus of the Amazon gift cards. Last year I got one when I renewed which I used to buy some Dining Out Gift cards.
I will of course still check comparison sites but chances are this price won’t be beat. They’re underwritten by Aviva so a reputable company though I’ve never had to claim. Everything is done on the app so there is no haggling with price but at the price I don’t mind.
- You get £5 on your account
- I get £25 on my account
Topcashback is a free to use site that gives cashback on things like insurance and online shopping. Sometimes these cashback deals can be doubled up with other referrals I’ve shared on this post so always check Topcashback when buying something online.
When you sign up, check which membership level you are on. I use the basic level which is free, the premium membership (which is often the default sign up) takes your first £5 of cashback each year. The premium membership does offer slightly better cashback rates and quicker payments but I’m happy with the basic level.
- You get an offer for a free small tub of Pringles
- I get £3 on my Shopmium account
This is an app I’ve used and loved for years! It’s a great way to try new products for free and to get discount on various grocery items.
You have to buy the items from the relevant retailer, upload your receipt and then the cashback is paid within a few days. There’s some handy IGTV showing how the process works on my Instagram.
- You get up to £1.50 credit on your app
- I get up to £1.50 credit on my app
Airtime Rewards allows you to earn cashback on purchases by tracking card payments. Cashback earned can then be redeemed against your phone bill. It’s really simple to use as its all tracked automatically. There are lots of retailers like Boots, Primark, New Look, Wilko and loads more.
My favourite deal on the app is 10% cashback at Morrison’s when spending £30+. If you happen to pick up some cashback items or yellow sticker bargains at the same time or if you have staff discount that you can double up with it it makes for even bigger savings. The Morrisons offer says is coming back soon on my app.
- You get £35 off your glasses
- I get a £10 Amazon gift card
I got my glasses from here a few years ago; they were fantastic value and decent quality. I paid £16 for two pairs which have lasted a few years. Sometimes MSE have some exclusive Glasses Direct deals which might work out better value than my referral so check there before ordering.
I need to get some new glasses soon so I’ll be booking an eye test at a local opticians, then it’s just a case of inputting my prescription details to my Glasses Direct account and then choosing my frames. They offer returns if the glasses aren’t quite right and there’s a virtual trying on service too.
- You get 100 points to start, then 200 more when you first collect points with a purchase
- I get 200 points on my app
If you’re a coffee lover like me and you occasionally visit Costa then this is a handy little app. You do need a minimum of 245 points to claim a small coffee, but if you go every now and again it’s worth having the app to earn a freebie.
If I find a new referral that I think is worth sharing, I’ll add it to the list so do check back for more deals in future.
Happy shopping and saving,
Thrifty Clair x
