June was an extremely busy month for me. I spent a lot of time celebrating my twenty-ninth birthday with family and friends; I enjoyed meals out, days out, and drank far too much prosecco! It was a brilliant, but also very expensive, month. I did get to enjoy lots of fabulous birthday freebies too so it wasn’t a total bank balance buster.
One of the gifts I received for my birthday was a lovely bottle of Veuve Clicquot pink champagne. It was such a thoughtful gift that I’ve promised to save it for a special occasion rather than drinking it on a normal Friday night in front of the TV! Chances are it will be opened on my 30th birthday or when Shane and I buy our first house… whichever comes first! I’d love for it to be the house as it would be an amazing way to finish off my twenties and start my thirties!
Shane and I have been saving to buy our first home together for some time now and we are officially on our one year countdown to moving out of our rental house. The contract is up mid June 2018 so ideally we will have completed on a house by then. That means that the next twelve months are going to be full of saving and scouring the housing market in hope of finding our dream home. During that time I’ll keep you up to date with all the ups and down we experience whilst getting onto the property ladder.
If you are also a first time buyer or if you have recently bought your first home please share your experiences, tips and any other advice.
