Would you pay £26 for these cocktails?
No? Me neither! I love a fancy cocktail but £13 for one drink is just too much, even with the fabulous surroundings and amazing views chucked in. Having said that, I have enjoyed these very cocktails at Cloud 23 on a couple of occasions. My favourite being the appropriately named Vertigo cocktail.
My guilt-free “expensive” drinks were enjoyed sitting on the 23rd floor of Beetham Tower in the opulent surroundings whilst taking in the amazing views through the floor to ceiling windows.
On the two occasions I have been, I’ve used a brilliant Groupon deal. My first visit was on a day out with my partner and the second was with some old work colleagues when we were all celebrating getting new jobs, buying houses and engagements.
So what’s the deal? There are two options you can choose from: two cocktails and a bowl of nibbles for £19 or the same deal for four – four drinks and two dishes of nibbles – for £36. If one drink each won’t quite cut it, you’re in luck as you can use two voucher per booking. The only other restrictions are that the deal cannot be used on a Saturday and of course, you must be over 18.
The Groupon price is still a little on the expensive side HOWEVER, as this is a local Groupon deal, you can currently get an extra 25% off by using the promo code LOVE25. That takes the deal for two down to £14.25 and the deal for four down to £28.50 – either way that works out at just over £7 per person!

You might be thinking you’d die of shame going to somewhere like this using a Groupon! Fear not, there’s no waving paper vouchers around or any embarrassing announcements that you’re in on a deal. It’s just a case of booking online, then on arrival allowing the member of staff at the door to scan your QR code. That’s it!
It is proving to be a very popular deal and it has been available on Groupon for around two years now. Trust me, they wouldn’t have it on there if they didn’t want your custom! Rumour has it that since 20 Stories opened in Spinningfields they’ve needed to boost visitor numbers and this is one way that they’re doing it. There’s also a fabulous afternoon tea that they sometimes put on Groupon, it’s not currently available but defintely one to keep your eye out for.
So go on, take advantage and treat yourself! Vouchers are valid for 60 days so you could buy now whilst the deal is cheap and use it for a birthday celebration or for Mothers day which is on Sunday 31st March. The deal is showing availability to book on that day which is great as a lot of deals like this exclude days like that.
It could also be perfect for a last minute Valentines date; unfortunately there isn’t any availability on Thursday the 14th but Friday has lots of spaces ready to be booked. So why not book it and write in your loved ones card that you’re taking them for cocktails at Sunset the next day.
There is the added bonus that it gives your significant other time to prepare an outfit and there’s no worry of a fuzzy head in work the next morning. If you time your booking just right it’ll be spectacular as the sun goes down over Manchester. The Sun is due to set at 5:18pm so make your booking for around 4:30pm to make sure you’re seated with your cocktails in hand.
